If you’ve ever felt personally victimized by a diet during the holidays, raise your hand! ðŸ™‹â€â™€ï¸

A big part of the holidays is travelling, and the stress of being out of a normal routine can kick even the strong-willed off-plan. But no fear, you can totally conquer the travel stress this season with these 3 tips.

1. PACK
You should bring some things with you to ensure you’ll succeed! When I go to weddings and I have no clue if the food will be low-carb, I bring a Quest or Power Crunch bar with me so that I can eat. If I’m staying at family’s house overnight, I bring some Torani or Skinny Syrups with me so that I can have sweet coffee without ordering a frappe like I’m tempted to. Electrolytes are another thing I never leave home without. They’re good as a supplement, but also as a hangover remedy! My favorites are from @goultima

2. PREPARE
As you’re getting ready to go to a new place, you should research what they’re going to offer. If you are trying a chain restaurant, you can find most of their nutrition facts online. If you’re not sure what will be keto, search on Google for “restaurant-name keto” and there are usually loads of suggestions. If you have a game plan when you go into the restaurant, you won’t feel rushed when the wait staff asks for your order and you won’t be tempted by “maybe I’ll just have a couple of chips and salsa” because we all know where that leads. Prepare for success and you’ll achieve what you prepared for.

3. PARTICIPATE
Don’t restrict yourself from participating in social events because you’re scared of the food they’ll have! The more you prepare yourself to succeed in social environments, the more you will do just that. Pretty soon, ordering the low carb option will be muscle memory for you, so when people look at you with that “aren’t you missing out on these rolls?” face, you’ll be able to confidently say, “no.”
