Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard of the latest Dalgona Coffee (AKA TikTok whipped coffee) that has taken the internet by storm. Here's a keto take on a spicy dirty chai dalgona coffee that's sure to wake you up + get you going.
Heat a small saucepan on medium-high heat. To make the chai base, pour in almond milk and add both tea bags and cinnamon sticks to the pan. Simmer 10 mins, but do not boil. If a lot of the liquid evaporates off, add a little bit of water (1/4-1/2 cup).
Remove pan from burner to cool down. While that's cooling, add all whipped topping ingredients to a small bowl (I use a ramekin) and whip. You can use a whisk or a fork, but I prefer to use a small latte mixer to give it a quick whip.
After your mixture is whipped, add 1 cup of ice to your cup of choice. I chose a mason jar because *aesthetics*
Pour chai base over the ice and top with instant coffee topping. Use a straw to give it a little stir so the sweetener starts to distribute to the drink. I think all dalgona coffees taste better with a straw, so you'll need that for this drink anyway. Hope you enjoy!
