I feel like there is a lot of pressure in the fitness/diet community to have a really built physique… but I’ll let you in on a secret.
That’s never been me.
I’ve never had abs, biceps are a new addition from the past couple of years in the gym (sporadically), and most of my strength at the moment comes from running.
And that’s fine with me!
Physical goals are important to have, but those should play second fiddle to your wellness goals.
- Do you regularly drink enough water?
- Do you eat REAL foods?
- Are you getting enough sleep?
- How is your mental well-being?
Fitness during the holidays can be really hard, and to complicate things, the trend seems to be either binge or restrictive dieting during those times. When I’ve tried to get super fit AND diet during the holidays in the past, my body just says WHAT THE HELL and quits.
This year, I’m just focusing on being WELL rather than FIT. Compounding goals like this has led to toxic behaviors in the past, so I want to heal the way I treat my body now.
I don’t have any solid resolutions for 2020, but I know that wellness is going to be a theme for me 😅
What are your resolutions for the coming year? Have you already thought about it?
